English Programme

Our high-quality English programme offers the following:

  • 25 hours of teaching per week;
  • maximum class size of 12;
  • well qualified, native speaker competence English teachers;

  • formal weekly English testing;

  • spacious, well equipped classrooms;
  • end of course certificate.

English teaching is split into classes according to language ability. At each level equal attention is paid to the four essential language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking.

In general, beginners and the youngest students follow the fun and engaging Cambridge Young Learners series of textbooks from DELTA publishing, while students in intermediate and higher classes follow the excellent English Explorers courses from National Geographic publishers, Cengage.

The timetable incorporates 5 hours of teaching 5 days per week with activities and sport between morning and afternoon lessons. Full-day excursions on Wednesdays and Sundays provide not only a break from the classroom setting, but also a valuable chance to practice English in real life situations.

Delta ‘Young Learners’

A three-level series for young learners of English.

Delta Young Learners English is an activity based course for young learners of English in the 7 to 13 age range.

Based on the syllabus of the Cambridge ESOL YLE Tests, it is designed to ensure successful learning in children preparing for these tests.

Each of the three levels:

  • covers the appropriate topics that appear in the exam,
  • practices the vocabulary items and structures listed in the exam,
  • covers all the test-paper types that children will face,
  • provides listening dialogues that are similar to those in the test,
  • includes a full sample of the test in the Teacher’s book,
  • builds pupils’ confidence and makes learning English and preparing for the test fun!

Content

Vocabulary: Family and Friends, Greeting, The Human Body and Illnesses, Weather, Animals, Adjectives, Comparatives/Superlatives, Around Town, Prepositions of Place, The Countryside, Action Verbs, Entertainment.

Grammar: Present Simple, Must/Mustn’t, Frequency Adverbs, Present Simple / Continuous, Past Simple, Modal Verbs.

Daily writing tasks and a weekly writing test.

Speaking activities throughout with a weekly speaking test.

English Explorer 1

English Explorer is a motivating new four-level series for students at secondary level, with a strong international focus. It combines a communicative approach to learning English with stunning National Geographic images, video and content.

With English Explorer, students:
